TEHRAN – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director, Christine Lagarde, said on Sunday that the IMF sees no reason to change its policy with regard to funds to Iran based on cues from the Trump administration.
“We see no reason to change anything in the guidelines that we have received from the (IMF) Board and continue to operate in the same manner,” Largarde said.
Her remarks came after Trump’s new Iran policy which strongly urged the IMF and World Bank not to provide loans to Iran.
