TEHRAN - The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps has the capability to demonstrate its power in different areas and “one of those areas is the Strait of Hormuz”, the representative of the Leader at the IRGC said on Saturday, indirectly warning that Iran would close the strategic waterway if it cannot export its oil.

“It is not possible that a place be insecure for Iran but secure for the enemies,” Hojatoleslam Abdollah Haj Sadeqi asserted.

Sadeqi said today the IRGC is at “height of readiness” and if the enemy seeks to undermine the Islamic revolution “its entire existence will be put in jeopardy”.

The cleric added, “Today, in terms of intelligence and (military) equipment, we have the power to defend the revolution.”
