Major network disbanded for disrupting petrochemical market

TEHRAN – Iran’s Intelligence Ministry has disbanded a major network of dealers who disrupted the petrochemical market by increasing fake demands for petrochemical products in the local market.
According to the ministry, the illegal network was acting in the provinces of Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Gilan, Qom, Mazandaran, Golestan, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, and Qazvin, Tasnim reported.
The proceeds from the network’s financial crimes are estimated to amount to 5 trillion Iranian rials, the ministry added.
It also said 14 main elements of the network were arrested and 10,000 tons of petrochemical products were confiscated in the operation.
