Tehran gallery to display paintings inspired by Rumi poetry

TEHRAN – A collection of paintings inspired by poems from Persian mystic Molana Jalal ad-Din Rumi will open at Tehran’s Shirin Gallery on Friday.

“Who’s That” by Alireza Asanlu features the relations between mankind and the world, the gallery announced in a press release published on Tuesday.

Asanlu who has long practiced creating figurative paintings, has distanced himself from the realistic style and has painted his experience of living in the moment by stepping into Eastern mysticism.

The collection composed of 15 paintings will be on view until February 27 at the gallery located at No. 5, 13th St., Karim Khan Ave.
