Mayor Sacked in Western Iran

ZANJAN Mayor of the city of Soltanieh in this western province was sacked by a vote of the majority of city council members, the head of city council announced on Tuesday.
"He had one-and-a-half years to present his development programs but could not manage to meet the promises he had made," Safavi said, adding that the city council for such reason decided to dismiss him." (IRNA)
