Sistan grappling with dust storms

The dryness of Hamoun wetlands in the Sistan area has endangered the health of people in the southeastern region.

Based on the 1973 treaty, Afghanistan is legally obligated to allocate water from the Helmand River to the Hamoun wetlands in Sistan-Baluchestan province.
