Khorramabad Unrest Reminds the Iranians of Their Historical Responsibility

What happened in western Iranian city of Khorramabad during the last four days starting on Friday is alarming and concerned officials should rush to stop such nuisance that can be dangerous for the health of the entire system.
The slogans chanted in Khorramabad make it clear that there were covert hands who wanted to sow the seeds of discord among the Iranian society.
Such hands are the worst enemies of the system and Islam.
The Iranian nation that has made unprecedented sacrifices for the sake of the Islamic Revolution, independence and democracy will not allow this sort of hooliganism to destroy what it has achieved.
The hooligans chanted slogans against Iran's most respectable ethnic community who have played an important role for the Iranian nation throughout the history of this country.
Those who created serious problems in Khorramabad must be identified and punished in such a way that in the future no one dares to insult any ethnic community of Iran.
The Office for Consolidation of Unity (OCU) and other factions must clear their stance regarding the unrest as soon as possible.
Those who launched the first attack, pelted stones, and carried out other illegal measures must be brought to book. Nobody must be allowed to take the law into its hand under any name or any guise.
Majlis deputy Issa Mousavi, a representative of Khorramabad said the unrest had been orchestrated by identified elements who had been ordered to go the city to foment unrest.
Deputy Mousavi must declare the identities of those hooligans and antirevolutionary elements so that legal action may be taken against them.
Before it will be too late, all political factions should sit down to carve a plan that may foster real unity in the society which is the only way to keep peace and security.
Iran hosts a variety of ethnic and religious communities and history is the best witness that all of them lived in complete harmony. It is the most important characteristic of the Iranian nation that it has a great civilization.
