COLOMBO A police Jeep was attacked with a hand grenade in the Sri Lanka capital Colombo Tuesday, leaving at least one constable wounded, AFP quoted police as saying.
A police emergency unit said it was alerted to a "hand grenade attack" at Colombo's Dickman's road area and found that one of its own vehicles had been the target.
Additional police units were rushed to the commercial and residential area following the blast, police said.
They said an investigation was underway.
