213 Ancient Coins Seized From Smugglers in Ilam

TEHRAN Commander of Ilam Province's Law Enforcement Forces said that during the past few days some 213 ancient coins have been seized from smugglers in that province.
Speaking to the Persian Service of IRNA, the commander said that the coins, which are made of silver and other metals, date back to Ashkanid, Sassanid and Seljuk dynasties.
There are some 162 ancient and historical monuments in Ilam Province which have always been robbed of their ancient relics by smugglers.
