ISFAHAN As part of an ongoing voluntary repatriation program for refugees, another 136 Afghan refugees residing in this central province returned to their homeland on Saturday.
The provincial bureau in charge of foreign nationals and immigrants announced here on Saturday that 9,586 Afghan refugees have returned to their home country since the beginning of the current Iranian year (started March 20) with coordination of the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees residing in different parts of the Islamic Republic will continue till September 22.
