Consortium of Oil, Gas Industry Set Up in Kazakhstan

ASTANA A consortium for the development of infrastructure of the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan has been set up in the country.
A representative of the Kazakhoil National Oil and Gas Company informed on Friday that the consortium comprised the Kazakhoil National Oil and Gas Company, the Okiok and the Karchaganak Petroleum Operating Company.
Besides, an official letter was received by the consortium from the Tengizshevroil Company, in which the company writes about its intention to join the new structure.
President of the Kazakhoil Company Nurlan Balgimbayev was elected chairman of the coordination committee the leading body of the consortium.
In addition to representatives of the oil companies, members of the coordination committee include deputies head of the administrations of the Aktyubinsk, Atyrausk, Mangistausk and Zapadno-Kazakhstanskaya regions, on whose territories the development of the main oil and gas deposits of Kazakhstan is being carried out.
