ISLAMABAD Eight people were injured when gun powder lying in an ammunition shop exploded in the Pakistani town of Okara in eastern Punjab Province on Saturday, AFP quoted the state media as saying. "It is not an incident of terrorism," the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan quoted a police official in Okara as saying. The official said the explosion was most probably caused by an electrical short circuit or a cigarette butt.
On Tuesday a bomb blast in a fruit market in Islamabad left 16 people dead and scores injured.
