National Tourism Plan Being Drawn Up: Moezzeddin

QOM The Head of Iran Touring and Tourism Organization (ITTO) Mohammad Moezzeddin said here on Saturday that 700,000 foreign tourists visited Iran in the first six months of current Iranian year, which began on March 20.
Moezzeddin said Iran earned $400 million from tourism. He added 80 percent of the tourists were from the Islamic countries while the rest were from Europe.
He said a program called national tourism plan is being prepared to facilitate travel to Iran and measures like issuing visas in 72 hours and establishing flights to Iran are anticipated in the plan.
Moezzeddin said most of the foreign tourists who come to Iran are eager to visit Qom, Mashhad, Isfahan and Shiraz. He expressed hope that more tourists from Islamic countries will visit historical and religious places in Iran.
