TEHRAN The Netherlands expelled the Friday prayer leader of one of its greatest mosques on charges of spying for Libya in October.
According to an AFP report from The Hague, the Dutch Foreign Security Service has confirmed a report carried by Velkskrat newspaper that Ahmad-Ali Hadi had been sent to the Netherlands by the society of Global Invitation to Islam.
The society is a Libyan organization running the Al-Faruq Mosque.
The Dutch Foreign Security Service's spokesman said that the expulsion of Ahmad-Ali Hadi has nothing to do with Lockerbie case.
To justify the act, the Dutch have expelled a Muslim who has invited a large number of Christians to Islam. They had nothing against him but to charge him with espionages.
