BERLIN A known neo-Nazi confessed to leading an attack on United States soldiers at a McDonald's restaurant in Eastern Germany, police said Friday, according to DPA. A police spokesman said the 22-year-old skinhead admitted beating one of the Americans on Easter Sunday because the man was black and spoke English. The victim suffered a broken nose in the assault. The eight U.S. Navy soldiers were traveling to the Baltic Sea port of Rostock for a meeting with German Naval officers. Two other rightists involved in the attack were detained earlier this week. Eastern Germany's Brandenburg State, where the attack took place, had the second highest per capita rate of neo-Nazi and anti-foreigner violence of all 16 German states last year, according to the domestic security agency.
