Tehran Conference Expose Zonist Atrocities to the World Silence Toward Israeli Atrocities
Ms. Ashraf Boroujerdi, advisor to the Iranian interior minister and chairman of some committees in the Tehran Conference on Palestine, in an interview elaborated on the importance of the gathering.
Regarding the importance of the conference, she said it would prove the world's dubious silence toward the brutal aggressions committed by the Zionist regime in the occupied territories.
The world of Islam is not in a good propaganda situation where it can make known to the whole world what is taking place in the occupied lands. This congress can remove the disadvantage to some extent.
We hope that this conference will be an opportunity for bringing out certain practical solutions on boosting support for the Intifada, and for carving new horizons for Palestinian combatants to achieve their final goal.
According to another reporter, member of Majlis Majid Ansari here Monday stressed that the Zionist regime by itself is unable to stand against the Palestinian resistance and the power of the Muslim world.
He said that Israel is working in the Middle East region as lackey of the United States, leader of world hegemony and supporter of state terrorism.
Ansari said that if the Islamic countries are united and coherent in imposing sanctions on the states supporting Israel, it will be a great step forward in stopping the genocide and crimes being committed by Israel against the oppressed Palestinian people.
Meanwhile, Vice Speaker of the Majlis Behzad Nabavi here on Monday stressed that the issue of Palestine does not only belong to Palestinians or even Arabs or world Muslims.
Addressing the open session of the Majlis, he said that the Palestinian issue belongs to all freedom lovers of the world and all those who are interested in national independence.
All those who are concerned about freedom of nations are disturbed by what is happening in the occupied territories, he added.
A Tehran representative in the Majlis, Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel, said no incident was sadder than the emergence of Israel within Palestine and no event sweeter than the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in the past century.
He stressed that by organizing such an international conference the Islamic Consultative Assembly has conveyed a message to the world Muslims that it would never forget Palestine and should support the Palestinian aspiration wholeheartedly.
Meanwhile, a member of the Presiding Board of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Majlis, Mohammad Kianoush-Rad, said here Monday that the International Conference on Palestinian Intifada, to open here Tuesday, would further enlighten the world public opinion over the issue.
He added that as long as the legitimate rights of the Palestinians are not realized, the issue of Palestine would remain the prime concern of the Islamic world.
In the meantime, a faculty member of Allameh Tabatabaei University Mostafa Kavakebian expressed hope that the conference will serve as a new approach for the Islamic community toward solving the Palestinian cause.
Kavakebian said that continuation of Intifada implies that the heroic Palestinian nation has lost hope in restoration of its legitimate rights through application of previous mechanisms.
The Tehran-based Imam Musa Sadr Center for Studies and Research has issued a statement welcoming all of the statesmen, leaders, commanders, theoreticians, and representatives of the Palestinian Intifada and the Lebanese Resistance Movement who are participating in the Tehran conference on the Intifada.
Those who have lived in Palestine and Lebanon and resisted and fought against the expansionist policies of the Zionist regime know the name of Imam Musa Sadr, a man who struggled for the liberation of Palestine and the territorial integrity of Lebanon.
The statement highly praised the efforts rendered by Imam Musa Sadr for the cause of Palestine.
The Islamic Propagation Organization (IPO) issued a statement expressing its full support of the Palestinians and stating that one of the greatest aspirations of the Founder of the Islamic Republic was to liberate holy Qods and Palestine from the clutches of Zionists.
It said that the so-called civilized world is making no effort to stop the brutalities of Israel, remaining silent as Palestinians are being massacred.
