Forth Intl. Cardiovascular Confab Opens in Tehran on June 15

TEHRAN The fourth international conference to review the latest findings in cardiovascular medicine will open at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Hospital on June 15, it was announced here Wednesday.

The association of Iranian surgeons reported that 25 heart specialists from different countries are to present their research findings on prevention of heart diseases, heart surgery, pacemakers, anesthesia and nuclear medicine at the conference.

The Executive Secretary of the conference, Hassan Tash said, "The legal and scientific aspects of problems relating to organ transplant will be among the topics of discussion at the three-day conference." He added that 1,200 specialists from USA, Canada, and Saudi Arabia, as well as some Iranian surgical specialists residing abroad would attend the conference.

The executive secretary of the conference further announced, following this conference, specialized conferences on upgrading scientific knowledge of nurses serving in CCU and ICU sections will also be held.
