* Simin Qanem will perform benefit concerts at Vahdat Hall from July 5 to 7. Only women will be allowed to attend the concerts.

* An exhibition displaying works of renowned calligraphy artists Mir-Emad Hasani, Mir-Ali Heravi, Mirza Gholamreza Esfahani and several other artists will be held at Honar Cultural Center (Arasbaran) in the near future. The exhibition is being sponsored by the center with the cooperation of the Association of Iranian Calligraphers.

* Pop music singer Mohammad Eivazi is scheduled to perform at the Kish Island Summer Festival. Other pop singers such as Qassem Afshar will also perform during the festival.

According to another report, during the same festival, a photo contest will be held. The winners of the contest will be given cash prizes. Meanwhile, the First Amateur Film Festival will be held at the summer festival.

* The Iranian film ****Outsiders**** has won the Trencianska Prize of the Art Film Festival in Slovenia. The film is a joint production of Sima Film and an American film production company.

* Iran's National Music Orchestra is scheduled to hold a concert in Switzerland. According to the Public Relations Office of the Music Center, more than 50 performers along with a singer will accompany the orchestra to Switzerland.

* Paintings of Soureh University student Ehsan Qaemi will be displayed at Wellington Academy of Fine Arts in New Zealand. Qaemi has taken part in several local and foreign exhibitions. He won the Special Prize of the First Biennial International Painting Exhibition of Muslim University Students.
