TEHRAN The Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC), Ebrahim Ouf, met Iran's Majlis Speaker Mahdi Karrubi on Saturday.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Majlis, Ouf expressed hope that the next summit meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the OIC, which is scheduled to be held in the Moroccan capital Rabat in autumn, would be successful and beneficial.

Also in the meeting, in regard to current developments in the Islamic world, particularly the increasing rate of Zionist crimes against Palestinians, Karrubi, who is also the chairman of the Inter-Parliamentary Union of the OIC, called for the development of cooperation among parliaments of Islamic countries, and also for all-out support for the Palestinians.
