22 Junior Tae Kwon Do Players of Iran Summoned

TEHRAN The manager of Public Relations Department of Iran's Tae Kwon Do Federation announced that 22 players had been invited to participate in the training sessions of young adults' national team that would take part in the first Asian contests for 14- to 17-year-old athletes.

Talking to IRNA, Anoushiravan Daadgar said, "The martial art players were selected after the contests held in Kabkanian gym, Tehran, on July 5." The first Asian Young Adults' Tae Kwon Do Championship tournament are to be held in Taiwan between August 8-12 and Iran will have representatives in all 10 weight categories.

The tae kwon do players called up by the federation are:

First Weight: Hadi Khamseh and Rassoul Batik from Karaj

Second Weight: Hossein Khosh-Nahad from West Azarbaijan Province and Seyed Hossein Bahadori from East Azarbaijan Province

Third Weight: Mostafa Qadirian and Mohammad Baqer-Mo'tamed from Tehran Province Fourth Weight: Hamed Kherqani and Saeid Sherafati-Pour from Tehran Province Fifth Weight: Sina Ramezani from Gilan Province and Alireza Nasr from Isfahan Province Sixth Weight: Ehsan Qanbari from West Azarbaijan Province, Hamed Youssefi from Gilan Province Seventh Weight: Mahmoud Hassani from West Azarbaijan Province and Davoud Homayouni from Tehran Province Eight Weight: Mohsen Kashizadeh and Koroush Rajoli from Tehran Province Ninth Weight: Mahmoud Khodaei from Tehran Province and Mahdi Heidari from Kermanshah Province Tenth Weight: Mohsen Chegini from Tehran Province and Mahdi Darvish from West Azarbaijan Province

Also, Vahid Nasseri from Kermanshah Province and Omid Emamdari from Hormozgan Province have been invited to take part in the warm-up sessions.
