TEHRAN A former MP and several Information Ministry officials have been arrested and kept in solitary cell for involvement in economic corruption, a reliable source said Friday.

"An MP from northwestern Urumieh in the Fifth Majlis, several officials of the Information Ministry and some other unknown businessmen were arrested one-and-a-half months ago," the source, speaking on customary condition of anonymity, told IRNA by phone.
