Dabir, Heidari to Wrestle in World Contests

TEHRAN The Technical Committee of Iran's Wrestling Federation (IWF) held a session on Saturday during which it picked Alireza Dabir and Alireza Heidari for representing Iran in the 63kg and 97kg respectively in the World Freestyle Wrestling Championship competitions to be held in New York in the current year.
The meeting that was held at the venue of IWF, was attended by all of the members of the committee including Mohammad Tavakkol, Amir Hamidi, Amir-Reza Khadem, Seyed Javad Rofougar, Mohsen Farahvashi, Seyed Shamseddin Seyed Abbassi, Mahmoud Moezzi-Pour, Mohammad Khadem, Ebrahim Javadi, Allah-Morad Zarrini, Mohsen Kaveh, Akbar Fallah, Ya'qoub Najafi Jouybari, and Mahdi Khaledi.
The IWF's Technical Committee decided to dispatch Dabir and Heidari to the world tournament without being tried in domestic competitions, IRNA said.
Mohammad Talaei, also a 63kg freestyle wrestler, will accompany the team as the substitute.
