TEHRAN Pakistani Foreign Secretary Inamul Haque submitted a message from his country's president General Parvez Musharraf to President Mohammad Khatami in a meeting here yesterday.

The latest regional and international developments as well as Tehran-Islamabad cooperation were discussed in the meeting.

The Pakistani official briefed President Khatami on the Agra talks recently held between President Musharraf and Indian Premier Atal Behari Vajpayee.

The critical situation in Afghanistan as well as the gas pipeline project between Iran, India and Pakistan were also among topics discussed in the meeting.

During his three-day stay in Tehran, Haque, who arrived in Tehran on Friday, is to discuss expansion of political and economic cooperation between the two countries with other senior Iranian officials.
