Algerian Justice Minister Rules Out Release of FIS Leader

TEHRAN Algerian Justice Minister Ahmed Yahiya on Sunday dismissed the rumors about the likely release of Ali Belhaj, the Islamic Salvation Front (FIS) number-two man, from prison. Belhaj has been imprisoned on charges of acting against Algeria's security. The minister also ruled out the possibility of allowing the FIS to resume its activities.
