Mohammad Kiyanoush Rad, a member of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said it would decide the bill on the division of Khorasan Province. He said the majority of MPs agree with the bill, which proposes that Khorasan be divide into three provinces; central, northern and southern. Another MP Morteza Kheirabadi said he believes that Khorasan should be divided into 5 provinces.
