Sina.com Targets Businesses With New Website

SHANGHAI -- Major Chinese Internet company Sina.com will set up a subsidiary targeting businesses in a bid to generate more revenue, it was reported Monday.
The new wholly-owned Sina.Net website would provide information on industries including telecommunications, engineering, chemicals and garments, as well as education, finance, media and local government, AFP quoted the **** Shanghai Youth **** daily as saying.
The new website would also provide professional software and provide enterprises with their own business platforms on the Internet, the paper reported.
Mao Daolin, the chief executive of Sina.com, has expressed his optimism about the prospects of the new company and said the company would seek more investors to boost the international image of its new venture, the report added. 13-35-04.J06
