Second Exhibition on Police Equipment to Be Held in Moscow Next Year

TEHRAN The executive manager of the First International Police and Security Equipment Exhibition, General Asar, said that Iran and Russia will hold the second exhibition on police and security equipment in Moscow next year.

During a meeting between Iranian officials and a Russian delegation, which traveled to Tehran to take part in the First International Police and Security Exhibition held on February 7-9, the avenues for cooperation between Iranian Law Enforcement Forces and Russian security forces and the companies of the two countries were discussed, General Asar noted.

He added that some agreements were reached between Iranian organizations and the foreign companies for the purchase of necessary police equipment. The expansion of cooperation between Iranian and foreign companies with the purpose of providing necessary equipment for security forces was also called for.

Tehran hosted the First International Police and Security Equipment Exhibition from February 7-9. The exhibition was unique in its own kind.

More than 40 Iranian and foreign companies producing the necessary apparatus and equipment for law enforcement and security forces took part in the exhibition.

In addition to this exhibition, some pictures of the different stages of the progress of law enforcement forces in Iran were shown to the public.

At this international exhibition, pictures of Iranian police before the Islamic Revolution in 1979 as well as some pictures during the Islamic Revolution were shown to the public.

The commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Law Enforcement Forces, General Qalibaf, said the evil and destructive technology has no application in Iran and only those technologies that are defensive and deterrent are used by the Iranian military.

General Qalibaf said the Iranian Law enforcement forces make use of those technologies that have a disciplinary and warning effect.
