Iran Abu Dhabi's 5th Major Trade Partner in Absorbing Reexports

ABU DHABI Iran became one of the major trading partners of Abu Dhabi, a constituent emirate of the United Arab Emirates in 2001 for absorbing its reexported goods, according to a report released by Abu Dhabi customs office.
The report said on Monday that Iran stood fifth in the list by importing the reexported goods valued at $11 million, in 2001.
Saudi Arabia topped the list with $57 million, followed by Qatar, India and the U.S.
The Emirate's reexported goods totalled $290 million in 2001.
Audio-visual devices, foodstuff, transportation equipment and certain other goods were among the major re-exported items.
