Uruguayan FM Calls For Oil Cooperation With Iran
The Iranian oil minister touched on the conditions prevailing in the international oil markets and welcomed bilateral cooperation in the field.
At the meeting, in which the members of the Uruguayan delegation took part, Opertti stressed cooperation between the two countries and both sides reviewed technical feasibility of several oil development projects.
Meanwhile, Opertti conferred here on Monday with his Iranian counterpart Kamal Kharrazi on expansion of mutual cooperation in various fields mainly in the areas of economy and industries.
The Uruguayan minister called the existing mutual relations as 'very strong and deep' and underlined the need to strengthen political, economic and cultural cooperation between Tehran and Montevideo.
Referring to the recent 'fruitful' visit of an Uruguayan parliamentary delegation to Tehran, he said parliamentary and cultural cooperation aimed at expanding bilateral relations is a must.
The Iranian foreign minister, for his part, called for expansion of Tehran-Montevideo relations mainly in economic area and underlined the need for promotion of cooperation between the two sides.
