TEHRAN -- Foreign Ministers of Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan will meet in Tehran by the end of this month to review the state of affairs prevailing in that war-ravaged country.

The Islamabad-based newspaper *****Nawai Waqt****** reported in its Wednesday issue that the tri-nation foreign ministerial meeting will be held in Tehran during the last week of the current month.

The conference will take stock of the situation prevailing in Afghanistan in the post-Taleban period, IRNA reported.

The finance ministers of the three countries may also huddle together in a few weeks time to ponder over how to help the war-torn country which is in desperate need of rehabilitation and reconstruction.

Among other matters, the world food program has already sounded a warning of an impending food crisis in Afghanistan that is feared would affect almost half of the country's population.

The gigantic rehabilitation and reconstruction task still faces a fragile security situation in certain parts of the country and the war against terror is also still continuing.
