TEHRAN Iranian sportsmen collected lots of medals Sunday in the 9th Asian Boating Championships underway here.

Veteran Nader Eyvazi of Iran snatched the coveted gold of the Asian 1000m singles touring Sunday.

Clashing in the waters of Azadi stadium's lake, western Tehran, Eyvazi stood top, clocking 5 minutes 29.31 seconds.

In the 8th Asian boating championships held in china, Eyvazi took two golds in the 500m and 1000m touring and one gold in the 1000m singles kayak.
