TEHRAN - An exhibition entitled 7000 Years of Iranian Art and History is to open at a Belgium museum on September 12.

Some 178 rare pottery, metal and stone works dating from the 7th millenium B.C. up to the 10th century C.E. are to be displayed in the exhibition.

The 7000 Years of Iranian Art and History exhibition has been acting as an Iranian cultural ambassador to the European countries of Austria, Italy and Germany and has attracted many visitors.

During the 9 months that the exhibition was held at the Bonn Art Hall, over 2,500 people visited the exhibition per day, according to the curator of Iran's National Museum.

Switzerland and Spain will probably be the next hosts of the exhibition, which will continue being held until January.
