TEHRAN -- Iran exported 75.8 percent of its pistachio kernels and nuts to five European and Asian states last year, with 38.6 percent of this amount destined for the UAE, IRNA reported.

Public Relations Department at Iran's Customs Administration said on Tuesday that Germany imported 17.5 percent, Hong Kong 11.1 percent, Russian Federation 5.1 percent and Spain 3.5 percent of Iranian pistachios last year.

Iran exported 144,100 tons of pistachios, worth dlrs 468.8 million, last year. Increases of 20.6 and 36.3 percent were observed in the exports in terms of weight and value respectively.
