TEHRAN -- The director of the Foundation for the Preservation and Publication of Sacred Defense Works and Values, General Mir-Feisal Baqerzadeh invited Mahmud Farshchian to paint a tableau depicting the liberation of Khorramshahr.

The director of Khorramshahr Museum, Nader Daryban, announced that General Baqerzadeh has recently asked Farshchian to paint the tableau with the central theme of Sacred Defense.

Daryaban, noted that several elements related to the (Iran-Iraq) war, such as the mihrab of the Congregational Mosque of Khorramshahr, are to be included in the work.

Daryaban added that the foundation has recently published an announcement in a newspaper inviting all artists and musicians in the traditional field to cooperate with the foundation.
