KABUL (IRNA) -- Director of Iran's flag carrier, HOMA, in Afghanistan Mehdi Hedayat said Sunday that the airline resumed its Tehran-Kabul flights on February 21.

The official said that the flight was made by a Boeing 727 plane with a capacity of 150 passengers.

The Tehran-Kabul flight came to halt a couple of months ago due to "technical problems" shortly after its inauguration, Hedayat said.

He added that HOMA had resumed its activities in Afghanistan due to the warm welcome of the Afghan people and their satisfaction with the price and services offered by the Iranian airline to them.

The flight is made every Wednesday morning from Kabul to Tehran and vice versa on Wednesday afternoon, Hedayat said.

He added that HOMA was to launch another flight to Kabul on Sundays in the near future.
