Jordan condemns Algeria attacks

AMMAN (AFP) -- Jordan condemned the two suicide bomb attacks in Algeria in a message of condolences sent by King Abdullah II to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, the palace said on Sunday.

""In my name, and on behalf of the people and government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, I express our condemnation of these criminal acts committed by a stray and misled group,"" the Jordanian monarch said.
""We affirm our stand and solidarity with you and your brotherly people to overcome this ordeal,"" he added in a cable sent Saturday to Bouteflika, the palace said.
At least 52 people were killed in suicide bomb attacks in Algeria on Thursday and Saturday, with the north African branch of Al-Qaeda claiming responsibility for the bloodshed
