TEHRAN -- Supreme National Security Council Undersecretary for International Affairs Javad Vaeedi here on Sunday said that Iranian top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili and EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana are to hold fresh talks over the Iranian nuclear program.
However he added that the two sides have yet to specify a date for the new round of negotiations.Speaking to ISNA, Vaeedi did not give further information on whether the talks would be held before or after the meeting of IAEA Board of Governors in mid-November.
However, IRNA reported that the two sides agreed to hold the next round of talks late November.
Iranian and IAEA negotiation teams have so far held four rounds of talks aimed at addressing the remaining questions over the country’s nuclear activities.
IAEA director general Mohamed ElBaradei is expected to submit a report on the outcome of the negotiations to IAEA Board of Governors in mid-November.
The board is scheduled to meet on November 22 and 23.
Solana held talks with Jalili and his predecessor Ali Larijani in Rome on October 24
