TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Sudanese Ambassador to Tehran Abdullah al-Bashir bade farewell to Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki.

Terming Tehran-Khartoum relations as “good and growing”, Mottaki said great strides have been made to further promote bilateral cooperation between the two states in the past few years.
The two countries share identical interests and concerns, he said, adding that the two sides have supported each other’s stands effectively.
He referred to Sudan as a major center for production and dissemination of Islamic thoughts and introducing great Muslim thinkers to the world.
Expressing his country’s satisfaction with the current level of bilateral ties, the outgoing ambassador lauded positive developments in Iran-Sudan relations in the past few years.
Appreciating Iran’s efforts to help settle the dispute between Sudan, Uganda, and Chad, he called for Iran’s all-out support for his nation.
