THERAN (IRNA) -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad said on Sunday that the brave resistance of the Iranian nation under the wise leadership of Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution has defeated the enemies.

President made the remark in a graduation ceremony of police cadets in Tehran on Sunday.
The Iranian people are very powerful and are now regarded as a global power in terms of peace-loving, humanity, culture, peace making, welfare and security based on the principles of monotheism and justice, he said.
The Iranian nation is opposed to global arrogance, corrupt powers, tyrants and bullying powers and backs the oppressed nations around the globe, said President Ahmadinejad.
Ill-wishers who are in minority try to introduce themselves as majority to impose their sinister goals on world nations through international organizations, he said.
Enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran have reached a dead end in the arenas of politics, culture and propagation and have been trapped in a quagmire despite their military power, he said.
By grace of God the Iranian nation has overcome all difficulties and is now approaching the peaks of success and development, he said.
Corrupt powers in the world have ignored ethics and divine values in their relations and did not hesitate to occupy lands and bombard innocent women and children, he said.
The Iranian nation has been a standard bearer of humanity, science, thoughts, understanding and love for human beings and this responsibility has been doubled at this juncture, he pointed out.
He then highlighted significant role of police in administering the country's affairs.
Iranian police should turn into a model for all nations and countries, said the president.
""I am quite confident that the Iranian police will properly serve the Iranian nation,"" said the president.
