PRAGUE (AFP) -- Hundreds marched Saturday through the streets of Prague to call on U.S. President Barack Obama to end Washington's plan to install a missile radar on Czech soil.

The protestors carried signs proclaiming ""No to the radar"" and ""Stop the new arms race"".
Participants in the march, organized by the Communist Party, delivered a letter addressed to Obama to the U.S. embassy.
Prague and Washington last year signed two deals for the installment of a missile radar southwest of Prague that would link to two other facilities in Poland.
Around two thirds of the Czech public are against the project, which is awaiting approval from the Czech parliament, according to polls.
