TEHRAN – Iranian police chief Ismaeil Ahmadi Moghaddam stated here on Wednesday that all detention centers and interrogation rooms will be equipped with closed circuit cameras.

The police chief pointed to the unfortunate incidents in the Kahrizak detention center and denounced the use of force and torture in interrogating techniques.
All offenders are regarded as citizens and they should be treated according to the law, he added.
Moghaddam expressed hope for the implementation of the plan to install monitoring equipment in all detention centers and interrogation rooms next year.
In addition, he called for increasing cooperation between the national police and the intelligence and security forces
