TEHRAN – The Bushehr nuclear power plant will come on stream in August, chief of Russia's state nuclear corporation Rostam has announced.

“The launch is scheduled for August. We're on schedule,” Sergei Kiriyenko who accompanied Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in a trip to Argentina said in Buenos Aires on Wednesday, Reuters reported.
There will be no delays in the start-up of the nuclear plant. Every thing is going according to the timetable agreed upon a year and a half ago, he stated.
Kiriyenko dismissed any concerns over Bushehr nuclear plant, saying the plant does not pose any threat to the regime of nuclear nonproliferation.
Moscow agreed to build the nuclear power plant in 1995 and the project was supposed to be completed in July 1999, but the start-up of the reactor has been postponed several times
