Iran to play friendlies with Venezuela and Madagascar

TEHRAN - Iran football team will play two friendly matches with Venezuela and Madagascar under its new coach Carlos Queiroz.

The national teams' committee of the Iran's Football Federation decided to hold these two friendlies in preparation for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
Iran is scheduled to host Venezuela on June 5 and Madagascar on July 17.
The 58-year old Portuguese coach was appointed Iran coach in early April after singing a three-year contract.
Iran begins its long quest for a fourth World Cup appearance when it plays the Maldives in their opening qualifiers on June 29 and 3 July
