TEHRAN - As two more bodies of pilgrims who died in the Mina stampede tragedy have been identified, the number of Iranians who went missing in the wake of the incident reduced to 67.

Announcing the news, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization chief Said Owhadi said Thursday that one of the bodies belongs to former IRIB News Network reporter Hamid Reza Hosseini, the Mizan news agency reported.

Owhadi said both the Iranian Consulate in Jeddah and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization work with investigation groups to discover the fate of the remaining 67 Iranians.

He expressed hope that by the end of the day, the identification of a group of 87 victims is carried out. He added once these 87 are transferred to Iran, the number of the bodies of the Mina tragedy taken to the country will reach 395.
