Nimr was tried in obscure

The loss of Sheikh Nimr, the prominent Shia cleric, is one that will not be compensated. Muslims, including the Saudi Shia community, will suffer from his execution.
Saudi Arabia arrested the sheikh on baseless charges and treated him very badly in prison, according to human rights organizations.
It is to regret that this great cleric was tried in an obscure court away from international standards. Such trials are not limited to Nimr and there are many reports about such trials by the Saudi government.
Another point is that the execution of the sheikh proved that Saudi Arabia neither cares about freedom of speech nor its outward manifestations.
We believe that this act is in line with anti-Shia movement fed by Saudi Arabia.
We have been witnessing widespread Shia-phobia and regrettably it has entered a new phase of killing Shias in some countries. Such acts will not be pardoned.
What is more pitiable is that international human rights bodies, which put the smallest instances on agenda, have kept silent against this new act.
If international human rights bodies had shown reaction against Saudi intervention in Yemen, its support for terrorist groups, as well as the massacre of over 5000 thousand people in the Mina tragedy, we would not have witnessed the new incident.
Such silence is help to countries like Saudi Arabia.
