TEHRAN Some 50,000 tourists visited the ski resort and the natural scenery in Chelgard, Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province, during the past week, Governor of the district of Koohrang in the city of Farsan, Allah-Karam Nasiri, said in an i He underlined that the Law Enforcement Forces, Traffic cops and medical groups rendered services to tourists during their visit. Chelgard ski resort is located 90 kilometers north of Shahr-e Kord, the capital of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari Province. He noted that the lack of attention to safety regulations caused some 60 tourists to become hospitalized, adding that every winter 300,000 tourists from across the country visit the region with the purpose of skiing and climbing the mountains.

Nasiri called on the officials to provide the region with appropriate facilities such as health services and residential units so that more tourists may be attracted to that deprived region. Chelgard ski resort is considered as one of the country's tourist attractions.
