TEHRAN – The Saba Art and Cultural Institute has taken “Dynamism of Islamic and Iranian Culture”, a book by Ali Akbar Velayati, a senior foreign policy adviser to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, to the silver screen in an animated movie series entitled “Once Upon a Time in Iran”. 

Directed by Ravanbakhsh Sadeqi, the series is a review of the history of Iran’s ancient and Islamic culture and civilization by stories about a grandfather and his grandchildren.

Velayati, who was the foreign minister of Iran for almost 16 years from December 1981 to August 1997, is also the head of the Expediency Council Center for Strategic Research.
