Tehran to host National Festival of Youth Music

TEHRAN – The 11th National Festival of Youth Music will be held at several halls in Tehran.

Over 500 solo and group performances in various genres will be staged by younger musicians during the event from August 30 to September 18, the organizers announced on Saturday.

In a press conference held on Saturday, veteran musician Hossein Alizadeh, who presides over the traditional section of the festival, called the event “a spiritual move toward music” that should be supported nationally.

The Iran Music Association is the main organizer of the festival, which will also showcase classical and regional performances.
