Tehran, Seoul Discuss Ways to Expand Technical Cooperation

SEOUL -- Tehran and Seoul Monday reached agreement on ways and means to strengthen technical cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was reached between South Korean Minister of Science and Technology Seo Jung Uck and Head of the Meteorological Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran Alimohammad Nourian.
Speaking at the meeting Uck said South Korea is ready for a new round of broader cooperation with Iran in scientific and technological fields.
He also voiced Seoul's readiness for signing a memorandum of understanding with Tehran for technical cooperation.
Nourian who is also deputy roads and transportation minister said for his part that promotion of technological cooperation will further consolidate bilateral relations.
The Iranian official had earlier met and conferred with Kang Ghil Boo, deputy transport and communications minister of South Korea.
In the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and assessed mechanisms for bolstering technical cooperation and joint venture in construction projects, including building flyovers and tunnels.
