TEHRAN – Leader of the Islamic Revolution said on Monday that security forces will severely punish the culprits behind the terrorist attack in Ahvaz.

Speaking two days after the deadly terror attack in Ahvaz, Ayatollah Khamenei said, “Surely, we will give harsh beating to elements of this act.” 

“Reports have it that the act was carried out by those very people who are saved by the Americans wherever they are stuck in Syria or Iraq, and whose hands delve Saudi and Emirati pockets,” Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told a group of athletes who recently represented Iran in the Jakarta Asian Games.
